Baby’s First Christmas-Make it Memorable

We’ve talked about starting family traditions even while still pregnant with your firstborn, but once you’ve had that bundle of joy, their first holiday season is one to be remembered. Here are 5 ways to create memories of your child's first Christmas.

Pictures - but don't just stop there. You don’t want them to end up in a shoebox and be forgotten. Create a scrapbook remembering all the days up to the big day and watch them as they discover lights on the tree, Christmas paper, ribbon etc.

Give them an ornament. Baby’s first ornament is just the beginning, but every year after, when you take it out to decorate it will become even more cherished.

Give them a Christmas box. You can put a memory inside (an ornament, a special card, a favorite toy) and every year when you pull it out you can remember the things they loved as the grew starting from year 1.

Baby’s first stocking. Create a stocking from their teeny tiny sock. Write the name and year on it for posterity. This year it will look adorable hanging next to your own.

Get an outrageously cute outfit for them to wear and save it. Next year you wont believe how much they’ve grown.

What you have to keep in mind is they are probably not going to remember it but keeping things from this year will give you something to look back on and possibly share with them later in their lives.
