Stretch mark treatments during pregnancy

If you’re pregnant and want to ensure you don’t get stretch marks there are things you can do to help prevent their occurrence. Unfortunately, if you already have stretch marks, your choice of treatments while pregnant are significantly reduced. Surgeries and prescription treatments are not available while you’re pregnant. However, there are topical creams like Robelyn Labs’ Elastin3 that perform very well at helping your skin prevent stretch marks and repair existing ones.

Things to do to lessen the chance of stretch marks

  • Make sure you are eating healthy and taking prenatal vitamins. By eating right and taking your vitamins you are helping your skin be its healthiest.
  • Drink plenty of water. It is recommended that we drink 8-8oz glasses of water a day. This helps keep your body and skin hydrated. Hydrated skin is healthy skin and healthy skin is your best defense from stretch marks.
  • Follow guidelines for gradual weight gain. Talk to your doctor about what is a healthy weight gain and how to achieve it while pregnant. You lessen your chance at stretch marks if you gain your weight slowly over time.
  • Moisturize. Use a moisturizer like Elastin3 on your skin twice a day or more. Avoid hot showers and baths since they can dry out your skin and exfoliate the skin to promote new and healthy skin growth.

You will also want to continue your regimen after you’ve delivered because rapid weight loss can also cause stretch marks. If you take these measures you’ll be giving your skin the best chance at preventing stretch-marks.
